In 1987, after many years of performing, David made his first foray into film music, collaborating on the soundtrack of a WA produced documentary - "Max Pam : Traveller/Photographer". This was to become part of SBS-TVs "Visual Instincts" series on Australian photographers for which he co-wrote and produced the music.

Since that time David has composed music for a number of documentaries and films, including the title song music and lyrics for the Australian feature film, "Mad Bomber in Love". The film was theatrically released throughout Australia and the song received extensive radio airplay. His music was used in James Bogle's short feature "Dreamrider", which was theatrically released in Japan in 1993.

David currently lives in Fremantle and works as a freelance musician and producer. Music from his "Miles To Go" album, released in 1999, has been heard in many television programs in Australia, on several international airlines' inflight programs and also in the Irish Broadcasting corporation's travel show "No Frontiers".

"David has been commissioned to write for TV And Cinema advertising and promotion, including the recent Little Creatures National cinema promotion, and Bowra and O'Dea's TV campaign in 2005-6."
